Job Title: Hose Coil / Pressure Test Operator (PAF)Pay rate: $18.75/hr.Location: Mansfield, TXZip Code: 76063Area code: 682Start Date: Right AwayShift: 2nd shift (3:30 PM - 11:30 PM) - (Mon-Fri)Tags: #HoseCoil/PressureTestOperatorJobs #MansfieldJobsBenefits:* Medical / Health Benefits with multiple plan options, Flexible Spending Accounts, Dental and Vision* 401k* On the job training / cross-training* Life Insurance, disability insurance* Voluntary life insurance for family members available.* Accident and critical illness insurance optional.* Scheduled performance reviews* Referral programESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Hose Coiling:Review conformance of hose while coiling on reel and cut hose as neededVerify part number, hose size and job numbers based on manufacturing specificationsReview dimensions, tag colors and take up reel diameterInspect product of attributes (flaws) such as bony hose, broken wires, missing wires, kinked hose, etc.Properly tape and cut out nonconforming sections of hosePlace hose scrap in proper containersRecord attributes (flaws) and hose scrap on Hose Coiling Inspection Sheets, update WW3Measure OD, ID and pitchPrepare and complete proper labeling of hoseCut burst and periodic samples as requiredClean plug gages as needed Pressure Test:Operate pressure testSet up test mode (proof and/or impact), jaws, mandrels, prefill, run cycle time and dump pressure (purge) according to manufacturing specificationsRecord PSI impact on back of tagCut off hose ends and wrap with tapePlace tested hose in quality inspection areaHose Coiling & Pressure Test:Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practicesKnow and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelinesReport production issues to Direct LeadPerform work of an equal or lower classificationDEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S. Other duties may be assigned at a later timeORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE:Report directly to Value Stream Team LeaderWork closely with Maintenance to resolve issues with the equipment WORKING CONDITIONS:The employee may be subject to:High noise levels from operating machines and equipment.Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels.Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection)Standing is required for extended periods of time.
