The Team You Will be Joining
You’ll join the HR team at a state agency focused on improving access to health care for Oklahomans. The team supports hiring across the agency and manages a high volume of open positions. You’ll work with HR colleagues and hiring managers to keep recruiting organized, timely, and consistent.
Major Duties
- Move assigned positions through the recruiting process, including sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding support.
- Post and maintain job advertisements, coordinate interview panels, and communicate next steps to candidates.
- Keep hiring managers updated on candidate status and progress toward filling their openings.
- Open, update, and close requisitions in Workday; track offers, background checks, and other pre-employment steps.
- Maintain accurate daily recruiting records and reports while following established processes and employment requirements.
What Are We Looking For?
- A bachelor’s degree and at least one year of professional HR management experience; a related master’s degree and at least one year of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualifying experience may include recruitment, job analysis, classification, compensation and benefits, civil rights administration, or payroll administration.
- Hands-on recruiting experience and the ability to keep multiple openings moving at once without losing track of details.
- Clear, timely communication with candidates and hiring managers, including when priorities or timelines change.
- Comfort working in an applicant tracking system and Microsoft 365. Workday experience is especially helpful.
- A consistent approach to documentation, deadlines, and recruiting procedures. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
